Rare Disease Day 2019

Thursday, February 28, 2019

State House - Boston, MA

Rare Disease Day takes place on the last day of February each year. The main objective of Rare Disease Day is to raise awareness amongst the general public and decision-makers about rare diseases and their impact on patients' lives. Although hidradenitis suppurativa is not considered a rare disease, IAHSN promotes awareness on this day due to the lack of understanding and knowledge about the disease. Rare Disease Day is acknowledged in the U.S and Internationally.
