John Fisher, MBA, MED - Treasurer
John Paris Fisher – New York State licensed in 7-12 Mathematics; John has 9 years of experience teaching middle school mathematics in District #2 for the New York City Public School. He was a founding mathematics teacher and UFT chapter leader at 75 Morton middle school in New York City.
Currently, John is a lead math teacher for the 7th grade mathematics department at East Side Middle School. John mentors, collaborates, and supports math teachers by modeling pedagogical and classroom management strategies. John has a proven track record in increasing student achievement in mathematics by building with institutional clients on complex investments across all fixed income products with a specialty in collateralized mortgage-backed securities and ABS structured products.
John students’ conceptual understanding and confidence in math. In 2022, John completed an Advanced Study program in Educational Leadership and is New York State licensed in School Building Leadership. Prior to teaching, John worked 20 years for a Wall Street Investment Banking firm in their Institutional Fixed Income Sales & Trading desk. As Managing Director, John was a top producer who spearheaded fixed income sales by cultivating strong relationships received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a Master of Business Administration from New York University – Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and a Master in Art of Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
John lives in New York City with his wife and two daughters. When John is not teaching, he enjoys traveling with his family, watching sports, cooking, and skiing.

Manjit Kaur, MBBS, MD - Board Member
A board-certified dermatologist from India. Dr. Kaur completed her medical degree and dermatology residency training at Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, India. She has more than 10 years of clinical dermatology experience before moving to the USA and is currently working as a research fellow at Ohio State University. Her research is focused on new treatment modalities for HS to improve disease and patient-reported outcomes and the impact of different treatments on the quality of life in patients with HS. Dr. Kaur is passionate about patient education and clinical outcomes research. She has published numerous papers in renowned medical journals as a lead author and presented her work at national and international dermatology conferences. With more than a decade of experience in dermatology and a solid background in clinical practice and research, Dr. Kaur brings invaluable insights as a board member. She shares her knowledge about the disease, available treatments, and challenges patients experience and supports the organization’s advocacy efforts. She lives in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband and two kids. Outside work, her interests include cooking, yoga, dance, and volunteering in her community. As a board member, Dr. Kaur is committed to advancing the IAHSN mission by increasing HS awareness and education while facilitating research and collaboration.

Robyn Guo Ku - Secretary
Medical student at Duke University School of Medicine (Class of 2026). Her fascination regarding the combination of immune dysregulation and microbial dysbiosis that contributes to HS pathogenesis is what led her to pursue research in HS. She is currently conducting a PeDRA-funded study to investigate the drug survival of biologic therapies in pediatric patients with HS. As Secretary of the IAHSN, she works with the Board of Directors to increase HS awareness and advocate for HS patients. Her future goals include establishing an HS specialty clinic to facilitate earlier diagnosis and treatment of HS and continuing the pursuit of novel treatments to minimize HS morbidity.
